The GReddy oil pan baffle plate is engineered for the Toyota GR86 (ZN8) and Subaru BRZ (ZD8) with the FA24 engine. Intense driving conditions, such as those experienced on a circuit, can cause a significant amount of engine oil to accumulate in the front chain cover, potentially leading to oil starvation at the oil strainer and decreased oil pressure. In severe cases, this can result in engine failure. This baffle plate effectively prevents engine oil from shifting to one side during spirited acceleration, deceleration, and cornering. By incorporating multiple louvers, it ensures that oil is smoothly directed back into the oil pan. The product features a specification change where the material is now stainless steel. Earlier versions were aluminum.
