This upgrade replaces the plastic bracket and rubber bushings with a robust construction of cast 304 stainless steel and CNC-machined solid mounting points. This design eliminates wear and fatigue from heat and prolonged use, ensuring a more direct and solid feeling with each gear shift. The elimination of play and the rubbery sensation from the OEM component makes finding gears easier and more precise. This bracket is specifically designed for vehicles equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission (6MT) using the 02Q or 0FB gearbox. Fitment generally includes Audi A3 (2006-2017), Audi TT (2007-2016), Volkswagen Beetle (2012-2016), Volkswagen CC (2009-2016), Volkswagen Eos (2007-2012), Volkswagen Golf (2010-2021), Volkswagen Golf R (2012-2024), Volkswagen Golf SportWagen (2015-2019), Volkswagen GTI (2006-2024), and Volkswagen Jetta (2006-2024). However, compatibility can vary. Some models may feature a factory mounting stud on the far left side that differs from the APR bracket's design, potentially requiring inspection of the original part before purchase. Additionally, some 2022+ models may not be compatible, and it is advised to verify fitment for these specific years.
