The Mahle 224-3732WR is a standard bore cast aluminum replacement piston assembly designed for 2007.5-2018 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins trucks. This listing provides a complete piston assembly, including the piston, a matched ring set, wrist pin, and wrist pin retainer clips, simplifying the sourcing process for engine builders. This piston assembly is specifically for standard bore applications, meaning it is intended for use when a machine shop has confirmed that the engine block's cylinders are at the factory 4.21" (107.0 mm) diameter and do not require boring. Each piston features a 0.0047" piston skirt clearance, contributing to optimal performance and durability. It is crucial to note several fitment and ordering considerations. This product does not fit 2019+ (5th gen) Ram trucks or industrial 6.7L applications. If your engine block has been bored oversize (.020" or .040"), you must order the corresponding oversize piston set. Additionally, this product is sold as a complete set of 6 pistons, as required for the 6.7L inline-6 engine; individual piston purchases are not possible, and a minimum order of 6 units is enforced. An optional PolyDyn coating for the piston dome and skirt is available at checkout, which adds an estimated 1-2 weeks to the lead time. This coating aims to enhance the piston's structural integrity, heat resistance, and lubrication, potentially improving fuel efficiency and power output.
