To calculate the outcome of salt on the bushings adhesion, all control arms are salt-sprayed and checked after 720 hours. All these tests prove the control arm will perform at its best, even in the toughest situations. The dipping or spraying phosphate process to apply coating is outdated and is also unsuccessful. For this Delphi uses modern technologies. It uses electrical currents to apply the water-based cataphoretic coating, which is proven to be very effective. The long-lasting environmentally friendly method gives maximum rust protection up to 10 years’ from salt, dirt, and water.
