Description

For Ford® 6.0L Power Stroke® engines, the Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) provides 48 volts to the injector solenoids. A voltage drop can lead to improper oil flow regulation and fuel injector function. During cold starts, when oil is thickest, increased current draw can damage the FICM's capacitors, reducing voltage supply. Common symptoms include rough cold starts followed by normal operation, which can eventually lead to injector damage or a crank no-start condition.
