Description

The Standard Motor Products PC827 is a crankshaft position sensor designed to send signals to the ECM, determining engine RPM, crankshaft position, and misfires. It is constructed with a permanent magnet, yoke, and coil, and is mounted near a tooth gear. As the gear rotates, teeth passing the sensor induce AC voltage pulses into the coil, which the ECM uses to calculate engine speed and frequency.
