Standard Uncoated Long Tube Headers

The Hedman Hedders 68270 headers are a performance-oriented exhaust upgrade featuring a long tube design constructed from mild steel. Each tube is CNC mandrel-bent and hand-welded to ensure precise fitment and durability. These headers are designed to provide ample exhaust flow for Small Block Chevy (Gen 1) engines, specifically 283-400 cubic inch displacements, to help maximize horsepower and torque. The unique ball and socket collector design eliminates the need for a collector gasket and allows for greater tolerance for exhaust system misalignment compared to traditional gasket-style collectors. These uncoated headers come with a temporary black paint finish that will burn off during normal operation. For enhanced protection and aesthetics, ceramic-metallic finishes are also available. Installation hardware, including header flange bolts, collector bolts, and reducers (exhaust adapters), is included with each pair. These headers are factory backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty on construction and a five-year warranty on the factory-applied header coating. It is important to note that these headers are not street legal for 1975 and later model years and are intended for off-road use only. These specific long tube headers are designed to fit 1967-1981 Chevy Camaros and 1968-1979 Chevy II and Nova models equipped with a Small Block Chevy (Gen 1) engine. Models equipped with air conditioning may require bracket 20110 for 1970 and up vehicles. They are compatible with automatic transmissions (column and floor shift) and manual floor shift transmissions, but not manual column shift.
