The Hedman Hedders 68310 is a set of standard uncoated, long tube headers meticulously crafted from mild steel for Small Block Chevy (Gen 1) engines, covering 283-400 cubic inch displacements from 1958-1986. Each header features 1-1/2 inch diameter, CNC mandrel-bent tubes hand-welded for consistent quality and a 3 inch ball and socket collector design that eliminates the need for a gasket and accommodates slight exhaust system misalignment. This header set is compatible with a range of 1978-1987 GM A-Body and G-Body vehicles, including Buick Regal, Chevrolet Chevelle, El Camino, Monte Carlo, and Pontiac Grand Prix models equipped with a Small Block Chevy engine. They retain functionality for Air Conditioning, Power Steering, and both Automatic (Column and Floor) transmissions, though manual transmission floor shift is also supported. Installation may require modification of the rotary A/C bracket.
