These flares offer enhanced tire coverage, a better approach angle, and increased outer tire clearance compared to stock. Constructed from robust yet lightweight 1.5" x .188" wall annealed aluminum structural tubing, these Crusher Flares are built to withstand impacts and resist damage. The foundation is a CNC laser-cut, 3/16" thick aluminum mounting plate, precision-formed to the JK's body contours. Mounting holes are countersunk to accommodate flat-head stainless steel hardware for a clean finish. The kit includes inner braces that connect to the Jeep's inner body tub structure for added rigidity and rubber liners to protect the body sheet metal during installation. This product ships as bare aluminum and requires painting or powder coating prior to final installation. It is crucial to pre-install the flares first to ensure proper fitment and make any necessary adjustments or trimming before applying a finish. Poison Spyder is not responsible for costs associated with painting or powder coating components that are defective or improperly installed. The installation process involves removing factory components such as inner fenders, side marker lamps, fender/flare supports, and stock fender flares. The kit includes provisions to replace the factory side marker light with a 3/4" round LED marker light (sold separately). The mounting procedure requires drilling additional holes and potentially trimming sheet metal around the wheel opening to achieve a precise fit.
