Description

The Mahle MS196 is a new OE (Original Equipment) Planetary Gear Reduction (PLGR) starter designed for Perkins engines. It operates at 24 volts and has a power output of 4.500 kw (6.035 HP). The starter rotates clockwise and features 10 teeth with a gear OD of 1.559" (39.600mm). It has three unthreaded mounting holes with an ID of 11mm. The mounting ear distances are 3.559" (90.400mm), 127.400mm (5.016"), and 3.559" (90.400mm). This starter is a direct replacement for various OEM part numbers.
