Overview

The Clevite MS-226 main bearings are part of the Clevite 77 bearing family, designed for high-revving engines. Constructed from tri-metal cast copper lead with a steel back, these bearings feature a cast copper lead lining for load support and an electroplated babbitt overlay for improved wear resistance. Oil grooves on most applications extend around both halves for enhanced lubrication. These bearings offer improved conformability, embedability, slipperiness, and fatigue resistance compared to original equipment.
