The Rareelectrical E9SZ-11002-A is a 12-volt, 1.4kW (1.88HP) starter motor designed with a Ford PMGR family and a 10-tooth pinion. This unit is SAE J1171 Marine Ignition Protection Certified, ensuring safety for marine applications. It offers CW rotation and specific mounting hole dimensions (10mm and 11mm ID unthreaded). This high-torque, mini starter is compatible with a wide range of Ford vehicles, including the Ford Bronco, E-Series vans, F-Series trucks, Mustang, Thunderbird, Lincoln Mark VII and Town Car, and Mercury Cougar. It is also noted as usable on older models such as 1965-68 Ford Mustangs with 289 CID engines. For vehicles from 1991 or older, a wiring harness adapter kit with instructions is included free of charge. This starter can replace older 4-inch and 4-1/2 inch 9-tooth Bendix gear starters, offering a 50% weight reduction, requiring fewer cranking amps, and delivering twice the torque. SPECIAL NOTE: This starter will not work with a 164-tooth flywheel. Models, verify your specific OEM part number from your original unit to ensure proper fitment. The PMGR (Permanent Magnet Gear Reduction) type starter offers a smaller size for better header clearance and reduces the effects of hot starts.
