Description

The Standard Ignition SS-549 is a starter solenoid designed to deliver full battery power to the starter. It features heavy-duty copper contacts to reduce arcing and extend life, and more pure copper windings for a stronger magnetic field. This solenoid is constructed with polyester-insulated magnet wire, cadmium-plated copper discs, and solid contact bolts to minimize voltage drop and protect against electrical overload. Pure copper battery terminal studs further reduce resistance for optimal performance, even in high temperatures.
