This is a self-adjusting electric brake assembly designed for trailers. It is compatible with 8,000 lb. axles and typically fits 16", 16.5", 17", or 17.5" wheels. The assembly is specifically for the right-hand (curb-side/passenger side) of the trailer and features a universal 4-bolt mounting pattern for straightforward installation. Its self-adjusting mechanism eliminates the need for manual adjustment, ensuring reliable contact between brake shoes and drums, which can lead to up to 50% shorter stopping distances and helps prevent premature wear of brake lining and magnets. The brake shoes are bonded with automotive-grade friction material for superior stopping performance and durability. The backing plates are finished with an E-coat to resist rust and corrosion. Included adjuster plugs protect internal components from dirt and road debris. Mounting hardware is sold separately. A break-in period is required for new electric drum brakes to achieve full performance. The product comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
