The King Racing XP-Series main bearings (MB5283XPC STDX) are engineered for extreme performance and race applications. Constructed with an advanced tri-metal design, they feature a layered copper lead construction, a protective nickel plate barrier, and a lead/tin/copper Babbitt overlay bonded to a steel backing. This construction provides exceptional stability and durability under high-load conditions. King's meticulous manufacturing process ensures wall thickness tolerances that are incredibly precise, maintained at an astonishing +/- .0001 inches. The XP-Series bearings are specifically narrowed to accommodate large radii crankshafts. They also feature enlarged, chamfered oil holes and come with full, 3/4 in., or 1/2 in. grooving options to optimize oil flow and cooling, delivering consistent and reliable performance for demanding race engines.
