The POL 556-CG-KIT is a direct-fit steel gas tank kit engineered for 1955-1956 Chevrolet passenger cars, including Bel Air, 210, and Nomad models. This kit provides a Fuel Injection Ready EFI Gas Tank with a 15.5-gallon capacity, ensuring sufficient fuel volume for performance applications. Constructed from coated galvanized steel and finished with a silver powder coat, this tank features an EFI-style internal baffling system. The extra-large 4.8-liter dual-tube baffled fuel tray is designed to prevent fuel pump starvation, making it ideal for Pro-Touring, Autocross, or Road Racing vehicles. The fuel pump and sender are recessed within the tank for a clean installation that resembles an OE tank without requiring modifications to your car. The kit includes a GPA series fuel pump and a 5-bolt sender. Multiple Ohm ranges are available for the sender to ensure compatibility with factory (0-30 ohm) or aftermarket gauges, with options for 0-90 Ohms (GM 1965-1997 & Dolphin), 240-33 Ohms (Autometer & Classic Instruments), 73-10 Ohms (Ford & Mopar up to 1986, AMC 1950-77), and 10-180 Ohms (VDO & Dakota Digital). Various fuel pump flow rates are also selectable to support different horsepower ranges, from 190 LPH (450HP) up to 450 LPH (1050HP).
