Steel Shorty Headers

The Summit Racing SUM-G9005 headers are engineered to improve exhaust efficiency with their shorty design. Constructed from durable steel, these headers feature 1 1/2-inch primary tubes, a standard flange style with a 5/16-inch thickness, and a 3-bolt flange collector measuring 2.500 inches in diameter. They are designed with an oval cylinder head port shape for optimal gas flow. This header set is intended for off-road use and is supplied with the required bolts and studs for installation. It's important to note that a crossover pipe and catalytic converter are not included with this kit. The installation process may require the vehicle to be raised a minimum of 24 inches, and it is recommended to check the condition of the motor mounts, with new ones suggested for installation prior to the headers. However, specific fitment details, such as for models with an A.I.R. tube running along the frame, may result in a close fit to some body and chassis components, which is considered a normal condition. The installation may be time-consuming, especially for first-time header installers.
