The Weigh Safe SWS8-2.5-PATB Steel 2.5" Pintle Hitch & Tow Balls - 8" Drop from XDP covers your towing needs. Using the built-in scale is as simple as hooking-up your trailer to the Weigh Safe Hitch just as you would with any other ball mount. The weight of your trailer will push down on the pintle attachment or tow ball, which in turn pushes down on an internal hydraulic piston that sits on a bed of oil. When the piston drops into the oil, the pressure reading is sent out to the scale. The Weigh Safe Pintle Hitch features a pintle attachment that is constructed of high strength carbon steel. The bottom portion is chrome-plated and the latch is a powder coated in matte black for added corrosion resistance. The hitch offers an easy latching system to lock/unlock with a safety clip. In addition, this Pintle Hitch Kit includes 2" & 2-5/16" Stainless Steel tow balls, allowing you to tow a wide variety of trailers with your Weigh Safe Drop Hitch.
