The GKTech GT86-ANGK is a bolt-on angle kit engineered to significantly enhance steering capabilities for compatible vehicles. This kit allows for approximately 60 degrees of steering lock, providing a substantial increase over stock for improved maneuverability. It also features adjustable Ackerman settings, allowing users to fine-tune the front steering geometry for optimal performance and reduced tire scrub. Installation of this kit is designed to be straightforward, with an estimated time of 30 minutes for those with general mechanical knowledge, though professional installation is recommended for suspension components. A wheel alignment is required after installation due to alterations in toe settings. Users may potentially encounter dashboard warning lights, such as the traction control light, due to changes in front-end geometry affecting wheel speed sensors; these can be temporarily disabled for track use. The GKTech GT86-ANGK is specifically designed to suit the steel knuckle only and will not fit aluminum knuckles. While the kit itself is direct-fit, some users have noted that offset rack spacers are a beneficial addition to help prevent steering bind, and extended inner or outer tie rods may be necessary for adequate thread engagement, depending on the specific wheel and suspension setup. Wheel clearance is also a consideration, with a recommendation for wheels offering ample inside clearance.
