The CPP Rebuilt Power Steering Box Quick Ratio 2.5 (Part Number CP7525Q) is designed to enhance steering precision in classic Chevy vehicles. It features a quick 10:1 ratio and a 2.5 turn lock-to-lock system, providing a more responsive feel. This unit is rebuilt to exacting standards and includes a warranty for peace of mind. The steering box utilizes a power gear box type with specific port dimensions: M18 x 1.5 O-Ring for the pressure port (closest to the engine) and M16 x 1.5 O-Ring for the return port (closest to the input shaft). It is recommended to use a hydraulic system with 2.5-3.0 gallons per minute flow and pressures between 1,100-1,250 psi for optimal performance. This steering box is compatible with a range of classic Chevrolet models, specifically the 1967-1981 Chevy Camaro, 1965-1990 Chevy Fullsize, 1964-1977 Chevy Midsize, and 1968-1979 Chevy Nova. Note that the pitman arm is not included, and the pitman arm shaft size is 1 1/4 inch GM with 32 splines and 4 master splines. The input shaft measures 3/4 x 30. Buyers should be aware that while CPP attempts to center the boxes before shipping, final centering may require tuning by counting turns lock-to-lock and adjusting accordingly. Additionally, this unit has not been tested for compatibility with a 1932 Chevy Confederate.
