Steering Box Brace

Constructed from 1/4" hot rolled steel plates and 2.0" x .120 wall square tubing, this brace features a CNC laser-cut, precision-bent, and welded design. It is finished with a two-stage, abrasion-resistant powder coat for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. The installation is 100% bolt-on, utilizing basic hand tools for a hassle-free upgrade. This steering box brace is compatible with various Dodge Ram models, including 1994-2001 Ram 1500 4x4 and 1994-2002 Ram 2500/3500 (Part #8557-04). It also fits other configurations depending on the specific part number selected, such as 2006-2008 Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4x4 and 2003-2008 Ram 2500/3500 (Part #8558-04 and #8558-06). Note that the 8558-06 is for use with 2009+ 6-bolt steering boxes on earlier model trucks. Early model trucks with an upgraded 6-bolt steering box require part number 8558-06 for seamless installation. If your 2008.5 Dodge 2500/3500 is equipped with a 6-bolt steering box, you will need the 8558-04 brace with the 855702-M30x1.5-PL sector shaft stud. If your vehicle is equipped with a sway bar drop bracket from a suspension lift, the Synergy Steering box brace must be installed between the frame rail and the sway bar drop bracket. Crucially, this steering box brace **does not fit Dodge Ram Power Wagons**. It is compatible with all PSC Big Bore steering boxes. For optimal performance, it pairs well with Synergy's heavy-duty steering kits and upgraded track bars.
