These extenders offer 10mm of additional rack travel, translating to approximately 5 degrees of extra lock.

The GKTech high tensile offset steering rack extenders are engineered for the FR-S, GR86, and BRZ platforms, offering a solution to steering bind and increased steering lock. These extenders provide an offset spacer, effectively moving the steering rack forward without the cost or complexity of full rack relocation, which can be prohibitive or impossible in some cases. Constructed from CNC machined, high tensile, zinc-coated 4130 steel, these extenders are sold as a pair and are designed for DIY installation. They offer a total of 10mm of additional rack travel, which translates to approximately 5 degrees of extra steering lock. This is achieved without compromising the available thread engagement on the steering rack. It is crucial to note that modification of the cross member is required for installation. GKTech offers a separate weld-in kit with a cutting guide to assist with this modification. Installation is described as DIY-friendly, but due to the nature of steering and suspension components, professional installation by a trained mechanic is recommended.
