The Subaru 34311FE050 is a genuine Subaru steering wheel assembly, designed as a direct replacement for specific Subaru models. This component is officially recognized as part number 34311FE050 and is sometimes simply called a steering wheel. This steering wheel assembly is confirmed to fit the 2003 Subaru Forester (2.5L H4 X trim) and the 2002-2003 Subaru Impreza (2.5L H4 TS trim), including the Impreza WRX. Installation notes provided include centering the clockspring by rotating it clockwise until it stops, then counterclockwise approximately 2-3/4 turns until the small arrows align at the bottom, if the steering wheel shaft was turned during removal. For airbag module removal, it's advised to depress release tabs, disconnect electrical connectors, and store the module away from direct sunlight and potential impacts. It is important to note that this part is listed as discontinued by the manufacturer. However, as a genuine Subaru part, it is guaranteed by Subaru's factory warranty.
