With an increased preload and a spring rate that is 80% stiffer than OEM parts, these detent springs contribute to quicker, more deliberate gear changes. Constructed from durable materials and finished with a black zinc coating for corrosion resistance, these springs are built to withstand both daily driving and rigorous track use. They are compatible with Honda B Series, D Series, F Series, H Series, and K Series manual transmissions, though the number of springs used will vary by gearbox. For instance, B Series AWD, K Series FWD/AWD, D Series (1996-2000), and GK5 Fits utilize all three springs, while B Series FWD, F Series (F20/F22A), and H Series use two. Installation is straightforward, making these a cost-effective upgrade. However, some transmissions, particularly certain B Series boxes, may have an internal detent spring for the 5th/reverse gate that requires case opening for replacement, best suited for a rebuild or synchro refresh. It's important to note that these springs are not compatible with 2016+ Honda Civic K Series or L Series transmissions, J Series V6 transmissions, L Series Fit and CR-Z transmissions, or 2006-2015 Honda Civic R Series transmissions.
