The BTR Stock Cam and DOD Conversion kit is engineered for Gen V GM LT 5.3 truck engines, specifically targeting the L84 engine. This comprehensive package provides a solution for owners looking to remove the problematic Active Fuel Management (AFM) lifter system, often referred to as DOD (Displacement on Demand) or MFI (Multi-Displacement Fuel Injection). This conversion kit is designed as a complete solution, requiring only the addition of fluids and labor for installation. It includes essential components such as head gaskets, lifters, lifter trays, head bolts, and often a camshaft, along with the necessary DOD/AFM tuning device. The kit aims to simplify the process of deactivating or removing the AFM system, which can lead to various engine issues. Included in the kit are components like valley cover or conversion plugs, head bolts or studs, head gaskets, header/exhaust manifold gaskets, lifters, lifter trays, valve cover gaskets, DOD/Start-Stop Disabler Module, and a balancer bolt. A Throttle Republic RTD4 tuning device is also part of the package, which includes the necessary tuning to remove AFM/MDS functionality.
