The Steamspeed STX 67+ is an upgraded turbocharger engineered to fit within the stock location of 2002-2014 Subaru WRX and 2004+ STI models. This unit leverages advanced aerodynamics with a Garrett GTX-style billet compressor wheel featuring an 11-blade design, which Steamspeed claims allows it to out-flow similarly sized billet compressors from other manufacturers. Complementing the compressor is a low-inertia, 9-blade TD06SL2 turbine designed to reduce spool time and enhance transient boost response, contributing to improved peak power potential. This turbocharger is built with a focus on OE quality manufacturing and advanced aerodynamics. It features a water and oil-cooled journal bearing CHRA, constructed with heavy-duty thrust bearings to withstand high boost and power applications. The compressor specifications include a GTX2867R wheel (49.7mm/67.4mm) with a .57 A/R compressor housing, while the turbine side uses a 54.1mm/61mm wheel with an 8cm² / .55 nozzle area. The unit is precisely balanced to 100,000 RPM on a VSR and has a maximum flow rating of 47 lbs/min. The STX 67+ is rated to support 325-375 WHP, making it suitable for enthusiasts seeking increased exhaust flow, lower backpressure, and significantly boosted performance over stock. An installation kit is included to facilitate a direct bolt-on experience.
