Overview

The TA Performance 364-401-425 Stock Timing Set is a replacement timing chain and gear set designed for Buick engine maintenance and mild rebuilds. These components are constructed from high tensile strength cast iron to provide improved durability over original nylon-coated gear designs.

Show original supplier description

The TA Performance 364-401-425 Stock Timing Set serves as a reliable replacement solution for Buick 364, 401, and 425 engines during routine maintenance or mild engine rebuilds. It addresses a common failure point in factory timing assemblies by replacing original nylon-coated cam gears, which are known to become brittle and strip over time, with high tensile strength cast iron gears. By utilizing cast iron construction throughout the gear set, this kit offers increased durability for long-term reliability. It is specifically engineered as a direct replacement for stock configurations, ensuring a straightforward fit during standard engine service.
