Stop the Hop Handling Kit

The Steeda Stop the Hop Handling Enthusiast Kit is engineered for 2015-2026 Mustangs (excluding convertibles) to tackle unwanted wheel hop and enhance overall handling performance. This comprehensive kit addresses the limitations of the factory Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) subframe, which utilizes soft rubber bushings prone to excessive movement during acceleration and braking. The kit provides a fundamental solution for ultimate traction and improved suspension compliance, making it ideal for spirited driving, autocross, or road course racing. The kit features four core components: an Alignment Dowel Kit with Delrin inserts to fill factory bolt hole voids and square the rear subframe to the chassis, limiting movement; the patented 8-piece IRS Subframe Bushing Support System, made from billet 6061 aluminum, which fills voids at mounting locations to prevent up-and-down subframe movement; a robust chrome-moly steel IRS Subframe Support Brace, designed as a direct bolt-in to tie the subframe to the chassis at key points; and Steeda's Adjustable Differential Bushing Insert System, utilizing polyurethane bushings to replace soft factory ones, thereby minimizing differential movement and pinion changes that contribute to wheel hop. However, users should be aware that this kit may increase Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) and could result in increased transfer of gear whine noise, particularly with Super 8.8 IRS differentials. It is crucial to note that the Steeda IRS Subframe support braces are not compatible with convertible models.
