Stop the Hop Street Starter Kit

This kit addresses the inherent weaknesses in the factory IRS subframe mounting system, which utilizes four soft rubber bushings with voids that allow for excessive movement under acceleration and braking. The kit comprises three key components. First, the Alignment Dowel Kit features CNC-machined Delrin inserts to fill factory bolt hole voids, squaring the rear subframe to the chassis and limiting side-to-side and front-to-back movement. Second, the patented, 8-piece IRS Subframe Bushing Support System, constructed from billet 6061 aluminum with stainless steel hardware, fills all voids in the IRS subframe mounting locations to prevent upward and downward movement. Finally, the kit includes the strongest support brace for the S550/S650 IRS on the market, made from chrome moly steel. This 5-point brace ties the factory subframe directly into the chassis at key mounting locations, supporting the front factory mount and lower control arm mount. However, it is important to note that the Steeda IRS Subframe support braces will not fit convertible models. This kit is designed for S550/S650 Mustangs, offering a significant improvement in preventing subframe movement and wheel hop.
