The Eagle Specialty Products 18022060 Street and Strip rotating assembly provides a comprehensive solution for building or upgrading your Chevy Big Block engine. This kit features a robust cast steel crankshaft and forged aluminum pistons, specifically designed with a dome and two valve reliefs for enhanced performance. It also includes forged 5140 steel I-beam connecting rods, which are known for their strength and durability. Key specifications include a 4.310 in. bore and a 4.250 in. stroke, supporting an 8.1L/496 cubic inch displacement. The assembly is designed for external balance and utilizes a 2-piece rear main seal. This kit comes with essential components like pistons, piston rings (file-fit), rod bearings, and main bearings. However, it does not include a harmonic balancer, flexplate, flywheel, cam bearings, gaskets, oil pump, camshaft, lifters, or timing chain and gears, which will need to be sourced separately. This rotating assembly is suitable for applications up to 700 horsepower and is engineered for both street use and strip performance. The forged pistons and connecting rods are built to withstand demanding conditions, while the inclusion of file-fit piston rings allows for precise gap adjustment to optimize performance and seal.
