The 034 Motorsport Street Density Strut Mount Pair is engineered for Volkswagen & Audi MQB and MQB EVO models, serving as a direct replacement for factory strut mounts. These mounts are available in either 60 or 70 durometer rubber options, offering a significant upgrade over stock components. The 60-durometer offers an OEM+ feel with improved performance and minimal NVH increase, while the 70-durometer provides a more performance-oriented experience with enhanced handling and steering precision under load. Constructed with high-durometer rubber that is fully vulcanized to the center cups, these strut mounts boast increased lifespan and performance. The rubber material is inherently superior to polyurethane for damping, handling both tension and compression stresses, and excelling in shear forces crucial for suspension articulation. This construction prevents the packing and wear associated with polyurethane, ensuring consistent performance and comfort over time. The steel strut mount bodies have also been redesigned to withstand the increased stresses of spirited driving. A common issue with stock strut mounts, especially when paired with coilover suspensions, is an annoying squeaking sound caused by the center cup moving within the low-durometer rubber. The 034 Motorsport Street Density Strut Mounts effectively eliminate this noise. While offering substantial performance benefits, they introduce only a minimal increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) within the cabin.
