034Motorsport's Street Density Strut Mounts are a performance upgrade for Volkswagen & Audi MQB and MQB EVO models, available in 60 or 70 durometer rubber. The 60-durometer option provides an OEM+-like upgrade with improved performance and minimal NVH, while the 70-durometer option offers a more performance-oriented experience with enhanced handling and steering precision, though it may introduce more cabin noise and vibration. These mounts are engineered with fully vulcanized rubber to the center cups, significantly enhancing their lifespan and performance compared to factory units. The redesigned steel strut mount bodies are built to endure the stresses of spirited driving. A key benefit is the reduction in strut mount deflection, which eliminates the common "squeaking" noise often associated with stock mounts when paired with coilover suspensions, while introducing only a minimal increase in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) inside the cabin. Unlike simple inserts, these are complete, re-engineered drop-in replacements for the factory strut mounts. The use of high-durometer rubber, as opposed to polyurethane, is detailed, highlighting rubber's superior damping capabilities in both tension and compression, and its effectiveness in shear forces crucial for suspension articulation.
