Description

In modified Cummins applications, the factory pushrods are not always adequate to handle the increased stress from higher cylinder pressures, valve spring pressures, and elevated engine RPMs. Even if your original pushrods do not show visible damage, they may still be too flexible for modified engines, potentially leading to power loss and premature valvetrain component failure. This material is cold-drawn over a mandrel to improve rigidity and minimize flex. The pushrod tips are CNC machined from 86L20 bar stock, which is then core hardened and triple-tempered to enhance impact and wear resistance. These design and material choices aim to extend the life of the pushrods and improve overall valvetrain performance. These pushrods are designed for stock to moderate builds and are capable of supporting over 500 horsepower. They feature a 3/8" diameter and a tensile strength of 170,000 PSI. The overall length is 10.150".
