The SpeedFactory Racing D16 SOHC VTEC Street Savage Camshaft is a performance camshaft designed for street/strip turbo D16 engines. It aims to provide smooth idle quality and vacuum levels while increasing power across the entire powerband, from off idle to redline. The camshaft is constructed using new chill-cast blanks for superior wear characteristics.

The SpeedFactory Racing D16 SOHC VTEC Street Savage Camshaft is engineered as the ideal camshaft for street/strip turbo D16 engine applications. After extensive testing of various D16 SOHC VTEC camshafts, SpeedFactory identified common sacrifices such as poor idle quality, loss of low-end power, and inefficiencies at higher RPMs. The Street Savage Camshaft was developed to overcome these issues, offering smooth stock idle quality and vacuum levels while delivering increased power from off idle to redline, along with faster spool times. Constructed using new chill-cast blanks, this camshaft ensures superior wear characteristics and eliminates potential issues associated with post heat treatments. The product is designed to provide improved horsepower and performance gains, with reported increases of +60whp/+22tq over the stock camshaft in comparison testing at the same boost level on a typical turbo D16Z6 Vitara build. An optimized pump gas Vitara build achieved 446whp/306tq. Installation Note: An aftermarket cam gear is required for correct camshaft timing, and upgraded valve springs are also necessary for installation. The camshaft is compatible with the following Honda models: 1992-1995 Civic Si, 1993–1997 Del Sol Si, and 1996–2000 Civic EX.
