The PowerBond Street Series harmonic balancer is engineered from high-strength nodular iron, making it an excellent upgrade for moderate racing and performance engine use. This material is known for its superior durability over standard OEM dampers. The balancer features a 6.4-inch outside diameter and a 50-ounce removable counterweight, allowing for precise balancing adjustments. To prevent radial movement, the hub and ring are splined, a design that enhances durability beyond typical factory components. It also includes laser-etched timing marks for accurate engine timing and a 0.950-inch thick 4-bolt spacer. The crank hub bore is precisely machined for a proper press fit, ensuring secure installation. This harmonic balancer is ideal for street rebuilds and applications where enhanced engine part lifespan is desired due to reduced torsional vibrations. It offers approximately 30% more strength than OEM dampers. It's important to note that this balancer is not SFI certified, meaning it is not intended for certain racing applications that mandate SFI certification. The PBBPB1084-ST is compatible with a wide range of Small Block Ford applications, including various years of Ford Bronco, Cougar, Country Squire, Econoline vans, F-Series trucks, LTD models, Mustang, Thunderbird, Lincoln Continental, Mark VI, Mark VII, Town Car, and Mercury Capri, Colony Park, Cougar, and Grand Marquis.
