The MTS Technik Street Series suspension coilover kit is engineered to provide enhanced driving dynamics for the 1994-2000 BMW 3 Series Compact (E36). This kit offers drivers the flexibility to adjust suspension altitudes based on personal preference and varying road conditions, leading to a more predictable and secure driving experience. The coilovers are paired with Eibach springs, renowned leaders in the sport springs industry. Key features of this MTS Technik kit include front and rear axle height adjustability through threaded shock absorber housings and height-adjustable rear elements. The suspension components are built with increased corrosion resistance and utilize twin-tube technology for stable shock absorber performance. Pressurized gas technology prevents oil foaming, ensuring higher efficiency during intensive use. Specifications for this kit include a front axle lowering range of 20-90 mm and a rear axle lowering range of 10-40 mm. The maximum axle load is rated at 900 kg for the front and 1040 kg for the rear. The shock absorbers are protected by a double layer of gold zinc and feature anodized aluminum adjustments for superior corrosion resistance. Important product notes indicate that the guarantees will be voided if the adjustable spring seat is set too low according to the catalog specifications. During installation, the clearance between the tire/rim and the suspension strut must be checked, with a minimum allowed gap of 5mm (0.2 inch); wheel spacers may be required if this gap is not met. For models up to 11/91 and M3 models, a shortened sway bar link (MTSLS08) must be purchased separately.
