The Eagle Specialty Products B18022060 is a "Street & Strip" rotating assembly kit designed to provide a balance of performance, reliability, and affordability for Chevrolet Big Block engines with up to 500 horsepower. This comprehensive kit includes a cast steel crankshaft, forged "SIR" I-beam connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons with a dome and two valve reliefs, plasma-moly piston rings, and Clevite77 rod and main bearings. The assembly is externally balanced and suitable for use up to 700 horsepower. This rotating assembly is engineered for specific Chevrolet Big Block applications, including models from 1961-1965 (409), 1966-1969 (427), 1970-2000 (454, 540, 555, 565), 1985-2010 (502), and 1970-2010 (632). It is designed for engines with a 2-piece rear main seal. The kit includes a harmonic balancer and a 168-tooth flexplate, but does not include a flywheel, camshaft, lifters, gaskets, oil pump, or timing components, which must be sourced separately. With a 4.310" bore and a 4.250" stroke, this assembly results in an engine displacement of approximately 8.1L/496 cubic inches. The pistons feature a -18.00cc dish volume, and the wrist pins are of the floating style. The connecting rods measure 6.385" center-to-center and are made from forged 5140 steel. The kit is balanced for optimal performance.
