The Cloyes 9-1138 Street True Roller Timing Chain Set is engineered for enhanced engine timing precision and durability in Small Block Ford applications. This set utilizes a "True Roller" double roller chain, measuring 0.250 inches, paired with a cast iron camshaft sprocket and a billet steel crankshaft sprocket. The crankshaft sprocket is induction heat-treated for durability and features three keyways, allowing for adjustable timing settings of +/- 4 degrees. This adjustability can help optimize engine performance and tuneability. Cloyes has been a pioneer in timing components since the 1920s, and this set builds on their legacy of quality. It is compatible with Ford 5.0L and 5.8L engines with a 2-piece rear main seal, generally covering model years from 1971-2001, including specific applications like the Ford Explorer (1996-2001), and various Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models from the 1970s through the early 2000s.
