The TCI StreetFighter 700R4 transmission is a performance-oriented 4-speed automatic designed for Small and Big Block Chevy engines.

This transmission features a constant pressure valve body, which ensures firm clutch and band application to prevent slippage and enhance durability. It can be manually shifted or operated fully automatically, offering racetrack-ready shifts and improved ETs. The StreetFighter series is built with special clutches, bands, and improved lubrication for increased holding capacity and longevity.

The TCI StreetFighter 700R4 Transmission is engineered for demanding street applications, capable of handling up to 650 HP from Small and Big Block Chevy engines. It utilizes a TCI Constant Pressure Valve Body, which eliminates the risk of early failure due to mis-adjusted TV cables by regulating line pressure independently of the TV cable's shift point adjustment. This transmission offers versatile operation, allowing for manual shifting through all gears or fully automatic engagement when placed in the drive position. Key internal upgrades include special clutches and bands for increased durability, and new sprags/roller clutches for enhanced holding capacity. An improved lubrication system ensures adequate fluid delivery to all internal components, while higher line pressure results in firmer shifts and reduced slippage, leading to greater torque capacity. This particular StreetFighter model is designed for 1984-1993 applications and features a lock-up torque converter (sold separately per specs, though some bundles include it). It can be retrofitted into earlier 1982-1984 applications with modifications. The transmission includes a chrome-plated pan with an embossed TCI logo. TCI also provides a universal wiring kit that can be installed independently of the vehicle's computer, facilitating easier retrofitting into non-700R4 equipped vehicles. Note that this product ships via truck freight and is excluded from free shipping offers.
