The TCI StreetFighter TH350 transmission is engineered for Chevy V8 engines, offering a significant upgrade over stock units for street machines. It is capable of handling up to 500 ft-lbs of torque in non-supercharged applications running on pump gasoline. This performance transmission features special clutches and bands for increased durability, along with new sprags and roller clutches for improved holding capacity. An enhanced lubrication system ensures proper fluid delivery to the planetaries and internals, contributing to longevity. The transmission's higher line pressure results in extra-firm shifts and greater torque capacity, minimizing slippage and improving performance. Buyers can select from various packages, each including a specific torque converter with different stall speed increases, as well as a dipstick, detent downshift cable, and fluid. The transmission also includes a chrome-plated pan with an embossed TCI logo. It has a 6-inch short tailshaft and a non-lock-up converter type. Designed for 1969-1979 GM vehicles, it features a 3-speed design with gear ratios of 2.52 in first, 1.52 in second, and 1.00 in third. This transmission is rated for a maximum of 575 HP.
