The ACT StreetLite Flywheel is a performance upgrade designed to replace the heavier factory flywheel in the 2006-2017 Subaru WRX. By reducing rotational mass, this flywheel significantly enhances throttle response, facilitates easier rev-matching, and allows the engine to climb through the RPM range more rapidly. It is engineered as a direct bolt-on component, utilizing the factory mounting points for a straightforward installation. Constructed from machined steel, the ACT StreetLite flywheel is not an adapted generic blank but is machined to application-specific tolerances. ACT ensures the correct bolt pattern, SAE specification, and balance are maintained for each application. The flywheel surface finish is precisely machined to meet the requirements of the clutch disc friction material, ensuring proper break-in and optimal long-term performance. Installing this flywheel concurrently with a clutch replacement minimizes additional labor since the transmission is already removed. While ACT's flywheel and clutch kits are validated together, this standalone flywheel is also compatible with OEM clutch systems for those solely replacing the flywheel. The product includes the ACT flywheel, flywheel bolts, and installation instructions, and is SFI approved.
