The M7 Tuning Strut Tower Brace is a high-strength handling upgrade designed to prevent strut tower mushrooming in MINI Cooper S models. Machined from billet aluminum with a matte black powder-coated finish, it adds torsional stiffness to the front body structure for improved steering precision during hard cornering.

The brace utilizes 1/2-inch thick end plates to reinforce the shock towers against impact damage. Its modular design maintains easy access to engine components like the oil filter while providing a secure fit over the factory mounting points.

The M7 Tuning Strut Tower Brace provides a critical solution for preventing strut tower mushrooming, a common issue caused by heavy impacts from shocks and low-profile tires. By sandwiching the shock top plate and tower sheet metal with 1/2-inch (13mm) billet aluminum end plates, this brace reinforces the front body structure to maintain proper suspension alignment and prevent upward tower deformation. Beyond structural reinforcement, the cross-brace increases torsional stiffness, which keeps the tires planted and improves handling during performance driving. The unit is finished in a durable, chip-resistant matte black powder coat. Installation is straightforward and typically takes less than 20 minutes, using the three stock mounting nuts on each side. Please note that trimming of the underhood insulation material may be required due to the tight clearance. Additionally, you cannot install the cross-bar at a later time if you currently have M7 Strut Reinforcement Plates installed; they are separate products. Important fitment exclusions apply: this product does not fit the R50 or the R52 non-"S" Cooper models due to limited hood clearance. For those specific applications, M7 suggests using their Strut Reinforcement Plates instead.
