The IPD HD Strut Brace is engineered to enhance chassis rigidity for P80-chassis Volvo 850, S70, V70, and C70 models. When performance shocks, stiffer springs, or wide tires are installed, additional stress is placed on the front strut towers. This brace connects these towers to significantly reduce movement and flex, especially during aggressive cornering. Its construction includes a durable steel bar with a protective powder coating and stainless steel base plates. The brace features counter-threaded spherical rod ends, allowing for precise pretensioning of the strut towers to eliminate initial chassis flex that can lead to vague or unstable steering and cornering. This design is favored by enthusiast drivers seeking maximum chassis rigidity without compromising ride quality. This strut brace is not compatible with right-hand drive models. For 1998 and earlier models, it offers a direct fit. On 1999 and later models, while it can be fitted, it will sit atop the factory coolant reservoir bracket due to a different bracket design on those years. The unit comes with a one-year parts warranty and is proudly made in the USA.
