The VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Hood STS Style is meticulously engineered for the Porsche Boxster 2DR models from 2005 to 2013. This component is crafted from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, ensuring both a premium aesthetic and significant weight savings. The hood is finished with an ultra-clear Poly Shield, a UV-protective polyurethane coating that provides a durable, high-gloss sheen. Featuring a sophisticated two-part construction, the top layer of carbon fiber is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin for structural integrity. The underside shell is seamlessly fused, enhancing durability while maintaining a lightweight profile. VIS Racing utilizes the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) for its components, resulting in parts that are 10-20% lighter and more durable than traditional methods, which is crucial for high-performance applications. Installation requires the use of hood pins for safety, and it is essential to avoid reusing stock hood struts, shocks, dampers, or springs, as these may compromise the installation's integrity.
