Subaru GT/GTX 30/35 Turbo Blanket

The PTP Subaru ATP turbo blanket is specifically engineered to fit ATP Subaru GT/GTX 30/35 externally gated turbochargers. By containing this heat, the blanket aims to reduce turbo lag, decrease intake air temperatures for a cooler charge, and protect surrounding vital under-hood components from excessive heat, with potential for up to a 60% reduction in under-hood temperatures and a boost in horsepower. This turbo blanket enhances turbocharger efficiency by keeping exhaust gases hotter within the turbo's hot side. Simultaneously, it prevents this heat from transferring to the cool side and the intake path, allowing for a denser air charge with more oxygen per volume to reach the engine, ultimately contributing to increased power output. The construction features a robust outer layer made from pulverized volcanic lava rock, capable of withstanding 1800°F direct heat and 2500°F radiant heat. This outer layer is woven into a tight mesh. Internally, it is insulated with high-temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (rated for 1832°F continuous and 2300°F peak temperatures). This insulation is protected and reinforced by a high-temperature stainless steel mesh, enhancing durability and thermal resistance. Every PTP Turbo Blanket is meticulously hand-crafted in North America, ensuring quality and adherence to high standards in material selection, design, and construction. PTP Turbo Blankets utilizes cutting-edge heat insulation technology, distinguishing them from imitation products that may use inferior or potentially hazardous materials.
