The ETS 22+ Subaru WRX Front Mount Intercooler is engineered to significantly reduce heat soak and improve the performance of your 2022+ Subaru WRX. This intercooler addresses the common problem of rising intake air temperatures by employing a custom-designed core, unlike generic alternatives that often use inefficient straight-through fin packs. Such designs can lead to increased temperatures, which negatively impact engine performance by causing timing reduction, knock, misfires, and detonation. This intercooler boasts a core with an offset and staggered internal and external fin pack. The external fins are densely packed to maximize heat transfer from the air, while the internal fins are less dense to promote maximum airflow and performance. This balance is meticulously tuned per application to deliver the best possible results. The inlets and outlets are strategically placed in the center of the core for proper air distribution and are hand-ported to minimize turbulence and maximize flow, a step often overlooked by competitors who may only weld on a tube without internal finishing. **NOTE:** This Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) kit requires the use of an ETS Intake and is **not compatible with the OEM Intake/Air Box**. Proper installation and a custom tune are recommended for optimal performance, as indicated by user feedback mentioning lower temperatures and improved engine operation with a custom tune.
