The Extreme Turbo Systems ETS 22+ Subaru WRX Front Mount Intercooler is engineered to directly address heat soak issues, providing a significant performance upgrade for your 2022+ WRX. Unlike generic options, ETS designs each intercooler core specifically for its application, ensuring superior performance. This unit utilizes an offset and staggered internal and external fin pack. The dense external fin pack maximizes heat transfer, while the less dense internal fin pack promotes maximum airflow and performance. This balance is crucial for keeping intake air temperatures down. The intercooler features inlets and outlets located in the middle of the core for proper air distribution and flow. Each inlet and outlet is hand-ported to minimize turbulence and enhance flow. Cheaper alternatives often use a straight-through fin pack, which can lead to higher intake air temperatures, potentially causing timing reduction, knock, misfires, and detonation. **Please note:** This Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) kit requires an ETS Intake and will not fit with the OEM Intake/Air Box.
