OEM engineers often balance performance with factors like comfort and ease of assembly, which can lead to significant slack in a vehicle's factory subframe. For the 10th Gen Honda Civic, the subframe mounting holes are 2mm larger than the bolts, allowing for unwanted shifts, vibrations, and rattles, particularly during intense cornering or braking. This movement can reduce steering sharpness and responsiveness. By precisely filling the 2mm gap around the subframe mounting bolts, these collars ensure a snug fit that prevents extraneous movement. This adjustment significantly reduces vibrations, boosts handling precision, and increases overall chassis rigidity. Constructed from durable 6061 aluminum and finished with a black anodization for lasting performance and reliability, the SRS Collar Kit is an ideal upgrade for track days, autocross events, or enhancing everyday driving dynamics.
