This SunCoast Category 2 transmission is rated for 550hp and is designed for towing, hauling, or slightly modified vehicles. It includes a custom-calibrated valve body, a high-flow 48RE filter, and a new front pump bushing. Key internal upgrades include a Pro series Carbon Fiber band, new thrust washers, Torrington thrust bearings, and SunCoast's billet accumulator piston and intermediate servo (both with four-ring sealing). The transmission also features a custom ratio billet band lever, billet band strut, billet band anchor, new overdrive and lockup solenoids, an upgraded governor solenoid, and a SunCoast Category 1 Billet Triple Disc Torque Converter with carbon graphite clutch material. The 23-spline billet input shaft is made from 300 maraging steel, heat-treated and stress-relieved. The valve body and pump are recalibrated, and a laser-cut, SunCoast-proprietary separator plate is used. It is backed by a 3-year unlimited mile warranty.
