SunCoast's 23 Spline Triple Disc Billet 1800rpm torque converter for the 1994-2007 47/48RE is built to be a workhorse. The stator is composed of billet material and redesigned to dramatically increase fluid velocity, greatly improving the efficiency of the torque converter. SunCoast's triple-disc converter is tighter than the OEM converter and couples much sooner. This is the torque converter for guys who use their trucks for work, towing and heavy hauling. With the greater efficiency, the Triple Disc Torque Converter will help you by maintaining lower transmission temperatures, especially when towing on larger grades through the mountains. This will also improve the efficiency of engine braking down larger steep grades with a heavy load attached. This converter is intended for stock turbo chargers; larger chargers will struggle to spool when doing boosted launches due to the low rpm lockup. This is a great modification for stock or slightly tuned work/snowplow trucks.
